You can feed on animals for a smaller, safer meal or hunt humans for a bigger one, and certain skills and items help you manage the hunger between hunts.

Yes, but daytime changes what you can do. Coen is human by day, so vampiric powers, claws and the most overt night abilities are locked until sunset. Daylight is the safer time for talking to NPCs, taking non-violent quests, carving witch-magic runes and exploring settlements where guards are active. At night the vampire emerges: you gain access to Shadowstep, wall-walking, claws and feeding, but guards and civilians become far more dangerous to deal with in the open.

There is no single right answer — the game is designed so both routes are viable and dramatically different. A pure human build keeps you closer to the family and human factions you are trying to save, and unlocks daytime sword-and-hex combat to its fullest. A vampire build gives you the powerful night kit — Shadowstep, claws, feeding-based healing — at the cost of social standing and some human allies. A hybrid splits points across both trees for flexibility at any hour. Your choice also affects reputation, endings and which NPCs trust you.

When the timer reaches zero, the story reaches its conclusion based on everything you did — or did not — accomplish. The game tracks your choices, the family members you saved, the quests you completed and the reputation you built, then resolves the ending accordingly. There are multiple endings tied to these decisions, so reaching the final night is not a game over; it is the payoff of your 30 days. The developers have also said you can keep playing after the main objective, so unresolved side content can still be explored afterwards.

Yes. Completing the main objective does not end the game outright. The Blood of Dawnwalker is designed so you can continue exploring Vale Sangora after the story resolves, finishing side quests, hunting remaining enemies and chasing achievements. This is a deliberate design choice that removes the pressure to rush every side quest before the finale — although some time-locked and character-specific content is still best done before certain story beats, so prioritise what matters.

The Standard Edition includes the full game on PC, PS5 or Xbox Series X/S.
